The Yucca Valley Town Council will begin their regular meeting tonight with a closed session at 5:30 in which they will appoint a new town manager. The Council will reconvene in open session at 6. Among the items on tonight’s consent agenda, the Council will be asked to approve a contract for the traffic signal synchronization project for the traffic lights from Camino del Cielo to Mohawk Trail; advertise for bids for construction of a traffic signal at Dumosa Avenue; and approve contracts for the phone service and with Desert Arc. On the action agenda, the Council will also be asked to approve the acquisition agreement of Brehm Sports Park, and approve the maintenance area of Black Rock Canyon Road. Finally, the Council will be asked to approve the contract for the new Town Manager, whose name has not yet been released.
