YUCCA VALLEY MAN HELD FOR ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY 2X4

A Yucca Valley man was held yesterday after Sheriff’s Deputies say he hit another man with a 2×4, sending the victim to the hospital. Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 3:30 Thursday afternoon reporting an assault in the 7400 block of Deer Trail to find the victim, Roy Dale unconscious. Witnesses said Dale and Isaiah Davis were painting a residence when Davis became upset over a joke. He approached Dale, who is deaf, from the rear with a 2×4 board and hit him, knocking him out. Davis then fled on foot towards the highway. Dale was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center for unknown injuries. Isaiah Davis was located near State Route 62 and Apache Trail, he was booked into the Morongo basin Jail for investigation of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with bail set at $50,000.00.

What kind of person attacks a deaf man from behind with a 2×4? This was attempted murder and a gross overreaction to the “joke.”

What kind of person makes a “joke” that is so upsetting? Was it bullying or harassment? They were there to paint not joke around.

    Where was their supervisor?
