YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR SPOUSE ABUSE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday afternoon, accused of beating up his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, neighbors reported that Joseph Lopez, 27, of the 7300 block of Bannock Trail, broke out the back windshield of his girlfriend’s car about 8:30 a.m., as well as windows to the apartment. Both Lopez and his girlfriend then left, and returned shortly before 1 p.m. The report states that Lopez pulled his girlfriend out of the car, wrestled with her on the ground, and pulled her around by her arms, as well as slapped and bit her.
