TWO TWENTYNINE PALMS MEN ARRESTED AFTER BURGLARIES SATURDAY

NOTE: This is a corrected version of the story.

Two Twentynine Palms men were arrested early Saturday morning, suspected of multiple burglaries in the city Friday. According to a Sheriff’s report, residents in the 6600 block of Palo Verde Avenue, 7400 block of Cactus Drive, 6000 block of Mariposa Avenue, 6600 block of National Park Drive, 6300 block of Cholla, and at Luckie Park, all reported burglaries and attempted burglaries Friday night-Saturday morning. Shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, two men, later identified as Dallas Moore, 20, and John Schutte, 19, were seen trying to break into a vehicle on Mariposa Avenue, and then fled from the witness. Deputies located Moore and Schutte, and some of the property that had been reported stolen, near Sunnyslope Drive and Baileya and arrested them. Dallas Moore and John Schutte were booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for burglary and are being held without bail for violating their parole. During the course of the investigation, deputies went to a home in the 6000 block of Daisy Avenue where they arrested Bobby Burcham,25, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bobby Burcham was cited and released.

I’m just wondering where you get your facts, or statements rather. It’s amazing that someone like Bobby can be at home with his family AND out breaking into cars. Stick to playing music, reporting news requires factual information. I would apologize to the family for slandering Bobby Burcham as you’ve done.

I hope these white trash hillbillies go away for a long time…stealing from hard working Americans is wrong and the punishment needs to be severe.

  • Cam

Pauly, that would be nice but most likely they’ll just get a slap on the wrist, especially if they decide to rat out their connects.

    Ricki,

All the information in this story came from the Sheriff’s reports and booking log.

  • Fil

So all of this information is public record. Where would I be able to access these files?

  • Doris

Only half of this info is true, even the age is wrong. Ricki is right.

I don’t think you understand the severity of the situation. What you have done to Bobby Burcham makes you liable for defamation of character. All the family is asking is that you do your research before you report false statements, and to rectify the false statements you have made. Anyone can look up court records, and there is nothing that connects Bobby Burcham to the burglaries you are covering. Again, you owe Bobby Burcham and his family an apology for slandering him.

Of course the person responsible for breaking into cars deserves to be punished. That’s called justice. Just as Bobby Burcham and his family are owed an apology for being wrongly included in your coverage of Dallas Moore.

it has been a sore in my side for a long time…the booking reports used as facts……I myself have had job and family issues because of my name on the radio…….and later on, in court was exonerated of what was reported……gary is performing his “due diligence “…reporting the news as he gets it from those reports…….too bad the reports are not proven……lots of folks I know have lost jobs..,reputations,…..even kids and marriages over the radio..and their name on it…….it should be more like the paper and be nameless…..

  • Cam
