TWO INJURED IN THREE-VEHICLE CRASH IN YUCCA VALLEY

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Yucca Valley yesterday. About 5:45 p.m., Will Garcia of Twentynine Palms was driving a 2006 Suzuki eastbound in the number 2 lane of Highway 62, when he drove through the red light at Avalon Avenue. Garcia’s Suzuki crashed into 2013 Toyota that was traveling southbound on Avalon and had a green light. The Toyota then crashed into a 2010 Toyota, traveling northbound on Avalon, which was making an eastbound turn onto the highway. The driver of the 2013 Toyota lost consciousness briefly and was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. A passenger in the 2010 Toyota was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center as a precautionary measure.
