TWO ARRESTS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN YUCCA VALLEY

A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Thursday morning, accused of attacking his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, residents near the movie theater in Yucca Valley called police just after midnight Thursday to report they heard a man and a woman yelling and shouting behind the theater’s parking lot near Church Street and Pima Trail. After an investigation, deputies determined that Douglas Bonderer, 23, of the 7600 block of Cherokee Trail, physically attacked his girlfriend, pulled her out of the car, and then fled the scene. Douglas Bonderer was arrested a short time later at his residence for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

Another Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday evening, accused of choking his wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, Shane Stoddard, 21, of the 56500 block of Antelope Trail, got into an argument with his wife. The woman told deputies that Stoddard started to choke her, which is when she called police. The victim had redness to her neck, but declined medical assistance. After an investigation, Shane Stoddard was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked that the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
