TWENTYNINE PALMS SENIOR CENTER IS COOLING CENTER

Southern California Edison still has pockets of customers in Twentynine Palms who are still without power, and power is not expected to be restored for most customer until this afternoon, with a few not being restored until midnight tonight. For Twentynine Palms residents who are still without power, the Twentynine Palms Senior Center on Adobe Road, across from the fire station, is a cooling center. It will be open from 8 until 5. No pets are allowed. Emergency distribution of ice and bottled water is available in the rear parking lot of City Hall. For information about the power outage, call SCE at 800-611-1911.
