The Twentynine Palms Historical Society will be continuing its Friday Lecture Series on September 12th with “Harlem Rides the Range”. The guest speaker will be Jennifer Thornton and the lecture will explore the rich history of the Bell Mountain community, the dude ranch that made it famous, and the films that enshrined it in myth. The lecture begins at the Old Schoolhouse Museum at 7pm and admission is $5 with an optional Meet the Speaker dinner across the street at the 29 Palms Inn beginning at 5pm for which you can RSVP to Marion at 760-361-1202.
