Yucca Valley’s St. Joseph’s players, now in rehearsal for “Brighton Beach Memoirs” will serve up some good food as a fund-raiser Saturday. Reporter Cassie Zimarik gets out the napkins…
On Saturday, September 13, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. the cast of “Brighton Beach Memoirs” will serve a BBQ Dinner to raise funds to expand the small 50 seat audience space to 80 by elevating rear seating in the venue. Dinner will be BBQ pulled pork on a bun, homemade macaroni & cheese, corn on the cob, iced tea and lemonade, with pineapple upside-down cake and coffee for dessert. Dinner tickets are available through cast members or at the door (cash only please) dinner is $8, $14 per couple, or $27 for a family of four. The event will also offer great raffle prizes! Raffle tickets will go for $1 each or 6 for $5. A silent auction will also be offered. The dinner will be held at the Rusack Parish Hall at the St. Joseph of Arimathea Church, 56312 Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley (corner of Onaga Trail and Church Street).
