A registered sex offender was arrested Friday in Yucca Valley after he was found to be out of compliance with the terms of his sex registration. According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies performed a sex registrant compliance check on Jeffery Lucas, 23, at his residence in the 7500 block of Persia Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Lucas was not home during the check, but deputies developed leads that brought them to a home in the 7500 block of Deer Trail in Yucca Valley. Jeffery Lucas was arrested about 9 a.m. Friday on suspicion of being out of compliance of his sex registration, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
