FREE SCHOOL IMMUNIZATION CLINIC
With Public schools starting tomorrow, the Department of Public Health and Morongo Unified School District are offering free immunization clinics On August 27th. The clinics will be held at Friendly Hills Elementary School’s multi-purpose room from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and in the Conference room at Yucca Mesa Elementary School from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. To ensure your child has all the required immunizations for school, the district urges you to check with your child’s doctor or take advantage of the free immunization clinic. BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY TIPS [AUDIO ONLY]

BABIES AND TOTS CLASSES IN TWENTYNINE PALMS
Circle Time Babies and Tots Classes is being offered through 29 Palms Recreation Department. Instructor Danielle Castillo offers fun, educational classes for babies and toddlers. Circle time is a children's educational program that offers parent/child classes that are devoted to the mental, physical, emotional and social development of children. Activities are designed to improve practical life, sensory, language and mathematics skills in a play group. Classes will begin the first week of September and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. For class fees, schedule and registration information call the recreation office at 367-7562.

GIRLS SCOUTS SEEKING NEW MEMBERS
The Girl Scouts are looking for interested girls and adult volunteers. Reporter Desiree Weston has more -----
Most of us are familiar with the Girl Scouts. Did you know that they are much more than just cookies and camping trips? The Girl Scouts offer a wonderful youth program for girls ages 5-17, that builds courage, confidence and character. There are more than 15,000 participants within San Bernardino and Riverside counties. If you are a girl aged 5-17 looking for a chance to make new friends and new experiences, or would like to become an adult volunteer, please attend their meeting on Thursday, September 3rd at the Yucca Valley Community Center. They will provide information on how you can join this worthy organization that has made a difference in the lives of countless young girls. YUCCA VALLEY YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE REGISTRATION
Are you ready for some football!?!? The Town of Yucca Valley is taking registration for its 2009 Youth Coed Flag Football League through August 28th. Practices are held week nights with games played on Saturdays. The league fee is $63 per child and $58 for Town of Yucca Valley residents; an additional $5 discount for a sibling residing at the same residence. Games begin Saturday, October 3rd at Machris Park. Register at the Town Yucca Valley Community Services office or online at www.yucca-valley.org. The Town is also looking for individuals interested in becoming either a coach or a referee.
