SOS HITS A MILESTONE
SOS, or Soldiers Organized Services, an all volunteer organization that provides rides to Marines to and from the Palm Springs Airport, has hit a milestone. Recently SOS gave a ride to their 9000th Marine. Hundreds Marines and Sailors use the Palm Springs and Ontario Airports each month and with only three scheduled bus to bring them to the base, a taxi ride one way can be almost a whole month’s salary. SOS comprises about a hundred volunteers and more are needed. With your help SOS has expanded services to Ontario International Airport, Camp Pendleton and Fort Irwin. SOS needs volunteer drivers and/or donations for gas money for these Marines and Sailors in transit. If you can you help visit on line at sosride.org or call Erica Stone at 760-799 5488.
