MORONGO VALLEY FIESTA DAYS NETS $4,000 FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT

The recent Morongo Valley Fiesta days was big success. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says the event brought in much-needed funding for the fire department…
This year’s Morongo Valley Fiesta Days celebration saw the largest number of participants ever. That success played out at last Thursday’s meeting of the Morongo Valley Firefighter’s Auxiliary when Chuck Harris, from the Fiesta Days Committee, presented Firefighters Auxiliary President Glenn Shepherd a check for $4,000. The contribution will go toward purchase of various items including ceiling fans at the fire station, a concrete pad and wiring for a generator, material to build a hose drying rack, and, according to Harris, other items to make their lives easier at the fire station.
