The Art Colony of the Morongo Valley will celebrate the first anniversary of its gift shop—and 51st anniversary of the Art Colony— at a special event Saturday, February 7. There will be a silent auction with items donated by Art Colony artists; live music by James Hagerty from 1 to 3; and art for sale created by members of the Art Colony. The anniversary celebration will be held from noon to 4 at the Covington Park multi-purpose room in Morongo Valley. The Art Colony’s gift shop—with fine art, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and greeting cards and post cards—is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 to 4.
