A consent item on the agenda of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meeting for June 3 announces a vacancy for the position on the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council, currently held by David Peach of Joshua Tree. Other items of local interest on the consent agenda include: a one-year extension of a contract with Telecare for a Crisis Walk-in Center in Yucca Valley, which provides 24/7 urgent mental health services; passing of an environmental hurdle for a water pipeline to Pioneertown; budget adjustments for an increased cost in a parking lot paving project at the Joshua Tree Community Center. The open session of the Supervisors’ meeting starts at 10 a.m. It can be viewed and participated in at the interactive teleconferencing site at the County Building on Whitefeather Road in Joshua Tree, or just viewed via the CountyDirect feature on the County’s web site.
