The Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship Pageant will be held this coming February 1 at the Joshua Springs Thunderdome. Today, Managing Editor Tami Roleff introduces us to candidate Cerena Foy…
Today we visit with Cerena Foy, a junior at Yucca Valley and candidate for Miss Yucca Valley. Hi Cerena. Tell us, who is the prominent woman you interviewed, and what you have learned?
My prominent woman is Leisa Vallo and she has taught me that through everything it’s our choice, and that we need to keep working hard, and that we can find the strength within ourselves to carry on. And to do our best and we should always follow your passion.”
What have you learned from your experience with Miss Yucca Valley?
“From my experience with Miss Yucca pageant, I have learned that there are many things within myself that I need to improve on: on my working skills, my school skills, and on my interpersonal skills. Within Miss Yucca Valley I have learned how to manage things and how to better myself. And I have learned so much about myself so that it has pushed me to learn even more.
Any final words?
“I encourage anyone who has any second thoughts about doing the pageant, that they should go for it and do the pageant.”
