LANDERS SOLAR APPEAL IN FRONT OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TOMORROW

The disputed solar project in Landers reaches the County Board of Supervisors tomorrow. Local residents can weigh-in with their opinions from the county building in Joshua Tree. At the Tuesday May 5 meeting, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors will consider an appeal by the Landers Community Association of a permit granted by the County Planning Commission to sPower Bowman Solar, for a 3-megawatt photovoltaic solar power generating facility on 35 acres in Landers. Local residents can interact with the board via the teleconferencing facility at the county building in Joshua Tree, or can attend the meeting in San Bernardino. Mark Lundquist, of the Morongo Basin MAC, advises that, although the Supervisors’ meeting starts at 10 a.m., this issue will not come up until 1 p.m.
