The Joshua Tree Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will be serving up a fish and shrimp dinner tonight from 4:00 to 6:00. Sunday breakfast is chicken fried steak from 8 to 11. And don’t forget Taco Wednesday from 11 to 1. And while you’re at the VFW, buy your tickets to the 21st Annual Casino Night, sponsored by the Desert Communities Association of Realtors. Casino night will be held September 20, starting at 4 p.m., at the Helen Gray Education Center at the hospital in Joshua Tree. Tickets are $30 and include $200 in gambling chips, and a buffet dinner. The Joshua Tree VFW will hold its second annual Poker Run Saturday, September 27. The ride, which will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, is open to all riders. The registration fee is $25, or $30 for a rider and passenger. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and kick-stands up at 11 a.m. The Joshua Tree VFW is at 6402 Veterans Way in Joshua Tree.
