JAWS OF LIFE USED IN LANDERS ROLLOVER CRASH SATURDAY

The Yucca Mesa Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to rescue a woman trapped in her car after a roll-over crash Saturday afternoon. About 4 p.m., County Fire Station 42 in Yucca Mesa was called out to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 247 near Chaparral Avenue in Landers. For unknown reasons, the woman lost control of the car, and the car rolled over into the desert. Paramedics used the Jaws of Life to rescue the woman from her car, and she was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
