With the wildfires already affecting parts of California, and the threat rising across the state, here are some tips to make your home wildfire-resilient. Prepare your family by having a fire disaster plan and a fire disaster kit. Make sure your street number is legible and clearly marked for emergency responders. Remove fuels that can lead flames to your home or that can become ignited from windblown embers such a dry leaves and sticks. Move any storage sheds, lawn mowers, grills, gas cans, and tanks away from your home. Clean your gutters, eaves and roof to make sure they are clear of debris.
