The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded the Hi-Desert Medical Center’s Continuing Care Center Five Stars, its highest rating. The rating system is designed to help consumers easily compare nursing homes. Ratings are based on inspections, staffing levels, and a set of quality measures. Nursing homes with Five stars are considered far above average quality. The Continuing Care Center aims to provide a home-like setting for residents of the 120 beds in semi-private rooms. Administrator Michelle Amdahl commented on the rating, saying “It validates our commitment to providing the highest quality care. We strive each day to make the CCC the best place to live for our residents.”
