A FELONY ARREST IN TWENTYNINE PALMS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday after his girlfriend said he hit her. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant James Porter, the woman went to the home of Seth Lewis, 35, in the 6500 block of Wilshire Avenue shortly before noon Saturday to serve him some legal paperwork. Porter said during the ensuing argument, the woman took Lewis’s cell phone and bit his left hand. Porter said the woman suffered injuries to both arms, her neck, and jaw, and based on the totality of the circumstances, Seth Lewis was arrested for investigation of being the primary aggressor in the fight. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for suspicion of felony spouse abuse, with his bail set at $50,000.
