FAMILY OF WOMAN KILLED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS RAISING BURIAL FUNDS

The family of a woman killed in Twentynine Palms is trying to raise funds. Agnes Quitano, 19, who graduated from High School in Guam in 2013, was six months pregnant when she was killed in Twentynine Palms Thursday evening, October 9. The fetus also did not survive. “We lost them both. It’s a very sad time for all of us,” said Quitano’s mother, Lisa Manggur. Quitano had moved to Twentynine Palms in late August with her fiancĂ© and was working as a housekeeper at a Holiday Inn, Manggur said. Quitano’s family lives on Guam and the family is raising funds to pay for funerals that will be held both in California and Guam, and expenses related to shipping the body back to Guam. Suzette Quitano, Agnes Quitano’s aunt, created an online memorial page on which the family is accepting donations. To donate to the family, go to a link in this story at www.Z1077fm.com.

The family is hoping to raise $10,000 to pay for the expenses. As of yesterday, the family had raised $3,455. People can also donate United Airlines mileage by accessing their United Airlines account and transferring miles to Lisa Quitano Manggur’s mileage account: SC157416. Manggur said she is leaving Guam tomorrow (Friday) to bring her daughter’s body home for burial.
