The second annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition will be held on December 5-7, at the Oasis of Mara in Twentynine Palms. A Call for Art has been issued for this year’s juried art exhibition, a highlight of the event, which features artwork depicting or inspired by Joshua Tree National Park. $6,000 in cash awards and an Artist-In-Residence award are available. Entry is open to artists 18 and over; $35 entry fee for up to 3 images. Submissions and entry fees can be processed online this year. An opening reception and gala awards ceremony will kick off the event Friday, December 5. Artwork in the exhibition will remain on display at the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery through December 28. Booth spaces are available for artists to sell additional art during the opening weekend Art Exposition on Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7, featuring live music, art demonstrations, historic exhibits and talks, wine, beverages, and culinary delights.
