BIGHORN-DESERT VIEW WATER AGENCY BOARD TO CONSIDER GIVING THEMSELVES A RAISE

The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency Board meets tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says the board will consider giving themselves a raise and will move closer towards annexing the County area…..

At tonight’s 6 p.m. Board meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency, Directors will take up yet another resolution related to the Agency’s annexation of water service for the people of east Landers and with that, the promise of a minimum 37 percent rate reduction. Also tonight, Directors will consider a 5 percent cost of living increase to their per diem; a COLA increase was last considered in 2012 but failed. And among other items, the Board will consider a travel and conference schedule for the rest of 2014. It all takes place on Cherokee Trail under the old water tower in Landers.
