A Joshua Tree woman has been arrested after a bank robbery Monday in Yucca Valley. Landrum told the teller to give her the money, to not push the button, and not to give her a dye pack or she would shoot the teller. The teller gave her money from her drawer and she left the bank through the northeast door in an unknown direction. Yesterday, the investigation revealed Landrum as a person of interest in the robbery. In the afternoon Sheriff’s investigators located Darcy Landrum in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart in Yucca Valley where she was waiting to catch a bus. Landrum was found to be in possession of some of the stolen money from the bank. A search warrant was served at a storage facility in Joshua Tree where further evidence was recovered. Darcy Landrum was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for robbery. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information relating to this crime is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Department.
