ANIMAL ACTION LEAGUE ALTERED ALMOST 5,000 PETS IN 2014

The Animal Action League, which provides low-cost spaying and neutering services for dogs and cats in the Morongo Basin, altered 4,628 pets in 2014. The number of cats spayed and neutered was nearly equal between females and males, with 882 females and 818 males. For dogs, nearly 800 more females than males were altered: 1,840 females versus 1,088 males. The Animal Action League will hold clinics for spaying and neutering at its headquarters in Joshua Tree, west of the dinosaurs on Highway 62, on January 13, 15, 20, and 21; in Morongo Valley at the Wild Mustang Feed Store on January 10; and in Landers at C&J Feed Barn on January 23.
