A DONATION FOR THE TWENTYNINE PALMS HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Twentynine Palms Historical Society received a $2,500 check last week from the Lamplighter Foundation. The money matched the funds raised from the Historical Society’s inaugural Desert Chic Wine and Cheese social event held earlier this year. The money will be used toward the Historical Society’s planned addition of a multipurpose room to the Old Schoolhouse Museum.

Jim Lincoln, second from left, secretary of the Lamplighter Foundation, presents $2,500 in matching funds to Twentynine Palms Historical Society President, Les Snodgrass. The money matches proceeds from the society's Desert Chic Wine & Cheese Social, coordinated by Cathy Snodgrass, far left, and Laureen Lentz.
