HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: SCORES AND SCHEDULES

It was a tough Big Bear offense Friday afternoon that took down the Yucca Valley High School Trojan’s baseball team. Coach Brian Schoenborn said the Bears scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back. The Trojans managed four runs in the fifth, with singles by freshman Desmond and junior brother Dovian Delgado, senior Jeremy Schoenborn, sophomore Tim Parker, and a double by Junior Colden McGarvie. The Bears scored two more runs in the fifth and seventh innings, with a couple of standup doubles, and won 9-4. McGarvie pitched seven innings, striking out four with only two walks.
The Trojan JV baseball team won 12-2.

In high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School golf team will participate in the De Anza League finals.

Also tomorrow, the Joshua Springs Christian School Lightning baseball and softball teams will host Mesa Grande Academy from Calimesa at home. Both games begin at 3:15.
