The 29 Palms Art Gallery will hold its annual Student Show in February. The judged show features art from junior high and high school students from across the Morongo Basin. Cash awards will be given in four categories: painting, drawing, photography, and other. Students and art teachers should bring artwork to the 29 Palms Art Gallery on Sunday, January 26, between noon and 3 p.m., or Monday, January 27, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The 29 Palms Artists’ Guild will present a $500 Ada Bigler Scholarship award to the most promising senior artist and the CMC Foundation will present a $250 scholarship award to a senior who will attend CMC. A reception and awards ceremony will be held at the 29 Palms Art Gallery, 74055 Cottonwood Drive, Sunday February 2, from noon until 3 p.m.
